But the Constitution (perhaps if she'll be adopted...)does not reinforce the political power of the EU ! It only confirms the economical aspect of the EU.

Moreover the weakness of the EU policy will continue for years, because in order to change anything in this constitution you have to get the unanimity of each 25 members...

Yes, to make the parlament decisons go faster we should change the sistem, but there are too many political interests involved...

Aye but Cyprus is a member of the British Commonwealth whereas Turkey is still very much an Asiatic country.

Ok then how can an Asian country sign European Trade Agreement?? Or how can an Asian country take part in European Football unions?EG:UEFA

don't be jealous! May be they are more democratic than Turkey! Or they wont suppress their minorities as in this case Turkey does to Kurds in East of Turkey!

Lots of factors are there!

They dont want Turks in EU because there are a lot of Muslims in Turkey and Europeans still have the brain of the Crusade times..
