I'm thinkin that they are Vietnam Era, since I learned them from my first Company Gunny and 1st Sgt, both 3 and 2 tour Vietnam Vet's respectively. The Gunny could tell some great stories about his time over there with 2/5 on his first tour.....but thats another thread. The thing you need to remember is cadences are for motovational purposes. | ||

| Optio | Once I heard Charge singing this in the shower... "I wanna go swimmin' with bowlegged women and swim between their legs..." I popped my head in about the second verse. He looked like the kid with his hand in the cookie jar! I just laughed and he felt better. I knew where it came from. My dad was in the Air Force. I had heard songs like that before.

| Tirones | This is the version we sing. Burn the village and kill the people, Throw some napalm everywhere Do it on a Sunday mornin While they're all attending prayer Fire a rocket into the school house As the teacher rings the bell See the kiddies all laugh and play now While their teacher burns in hell Throw some candy into the playground See those kiddies gather round, Slap a belt up into my 60 Mow those little f***ers down |
