Trivia: Weapons that were used by both sides

Virtually every nation of Latin America used Mauser bolt-action rifles for most of the twentieth century, usually they were in the same caliber; 7.65mm Mauser.
In the Chaco War between Bolivia and Paraguay ( 1932- 1935), both sides used rifles and machineguns in the same caliber. Paraguay captured enough ammunition from Bolivia to last twenty years. That war is not well known, but it was no joke; over 100,000 dead!
