| | Translation of a Latin motto infoI have an Italian army badge (vintage: post 1945) that has the latin motto "Ut ardeant ardeo". I have also seen this motto on the front on the current Italian NCO School. Can anyone tell me what it means in english? Cheers Mario |

I believe it means "I get burned for them to burn", some kind of a voluntary sacrifice if it is necessary to kill the enemy. "Freedom is the sure possession of those alone who have the courage to defend it". Pericles. ![]() |
