| | Tories Seem Headed for Victory info Angus Reid Global Scan's recent survey shows that Tories lead the polls and will, most likely, win the elections on Monday Jan, 23rd. I keep my fingers crossed until it is official. Last edited by phoenix80; January 22nd, 2006 at 13:38.. |

You know that Canada has been governed by the liberals for over a decade and they have ruined the whole country.

Sure I do. Twelve years are enough. Although from the polls posted in there I can see Canada is still a largely liberal country, if you consider Lib's + NDP + Greens combined.

What is with the "they ruined the whole country"? We had that too in the Netherlands. 8 Years of strange mix (purple= socialist + "republicans") were 8 affluent years. We finally had a credit side instead of a debet side on government expenditures and we had a record on the stock market (almost twice the value of the current one) and the list goes on. Suddely books started to appear with names like "the 8 years that ruined the country" and "the ruins of purple" etc.... The reps won and since then umemployment sky rocketed, bankrupcy went through the roof, social services became un payable, income is down, insurance is up and the list is endless. Reps say the liberals and socialist did this and I can't see how.... So can anybody explain, and preferably non-biased because I'm trying to make a learning moment of this... |
