Thats a little excessive for an apc, wouldn't an atgm or some helicopter launched rockets work just as well?

Well most IFVs and APCs are designed for protection against 30-40mm apfds rounds, not a tandem heat warhead on a spike-er or kornet atgms for that matter. Besides you don't think a barrage of s-8 rockets can totally destroy an apc?
