I am a 31 y/o Corporal in the USMC. The hardest part for you or anyone joining the military late in life will be taking direction from those younger (read less life experience) and trying to keep up with them on the PT field. Expect alot of jokes and kidding round - from your rank peers - at your expense in reference to your age. Trust me, I get it all the time. It is all intended to be fun but it does get a bit old (no pun intended). Don't let this turn you off to the military though. As I said, I am 31 years old and I find it very rewarding.
