Post; Too Big?


I'm 5'9 and weigh 228 lbs is this too big to enlist? Also i want to go to the Naval Academy and play ball their, so do i need to lose it or keep it so i can play football at Navy?

For your height, you would fail the max weight of 174 (+/- a couple pounds). You would then proceed to being taped. The military measures your neck and your waist right below the naval. Then they use a table to figure out your body fat %. I believe 18-22 year olds are allowed 20% body fat.

I have an excel program that calculates body fat. PM me and I can try to send it via e-mail. If that doesn't work, then you can send me your measurements and I can run the program and send you the results.
