BAGHDAD, Sept 7, 2006 (AFP) - Three US troops have been killed in Iraq, the
military said Thursday, bringing coalition fatalities for the week to 18.

One marine died due to wounds sustained from "enemy action" while operating
in the western Sunni Al-Anbar province on Wednesday, the military said.

A soldier was shot and killed near Hawija in northern Iraq on Wednesday,
while another died also in Anbar province of wounds he received earlier in
the week.

Thursday's announcements brought the total number of US service personnel
killed since the March 2003 invasion of Iraq to 2,662, according to Pentagon
figures.
