Hey, I've just been diagnosed with two dodgy hips, too much soccer and squash I'm afraid. The right is reportedly worse than the left. But I would like to pass on this to you. My initial Xray was eight years ago, when I was offerred a new right hip. However, I decided to treat it with daily Glucosamine Sulphate, as a long-term solution. I now have no discomfort from the right hip, and very little from the left. This medication was used originally for the joint pain, but long term was found to have arresting qualities, it seems. Worth trying if you have agony. 1000/1500 mg per day is recommended I believe. I also now try to persevere also by trying MSM , the building block of cartillage, as an additional aid. Glucosamine has a lot of adherents, and has given me 8 years without surgery so far. And no - I do not own the company, sadly!
