Guise, the problem is that everytime i see him i practically **** myself. i know i can win, but it's been therapied into me that i can't fight, i'm not allowed to fight, ever.

even in cases of self defense...

i know that, i was raised never to engage into a fight but to go out of the way- and so i did most of the time... there was even a guy in my class who jumped on my back and bit me when i was 14, i didn't fight back (well i threw him off my back...)
My strongest weapon is and always was my words but today i think a bit different about it... in general its right to seek non-violent solutions but at some point you just have to kick that guys *** so that he shuts it... its some wild part of human nature which needs physical contact to clear up things and for some guys it just doesn't work the other way. I'm not saying you have to fight him, i never really did in school ^^. It totally depends on the situation. And don't confuse simple brawl (which i'm referring to) with aggraveted assault but if things heat up the lines are thin.
Please don't make anything out of my words, i think i've no real idea but i like to have an opinion as always (thats what a Forum is all about isn't it? )

I was raised to walk away from a fight unless I had no way out, or if it was disrespectful to my mother or sister, Disrespectful to my father, just tell him he didn't care about age, do the crime to the punishment, If I ever started a fight it was my Arse, but if I didn't start it I had better do my best to win it, THAT held me through the military also, except when it comes to the enemy, then I just practice gun control.

The way I'm raised is to never hit a woman, defend my family members, and if someone is talking trash about your family, like your grandfather or someone along those lines, tell him to stop, and if he continues, take the necessary action.

For example, My stepdad Mike's father, Joe was at a bar with his Grandfather, and some guy started badmouthing Joe's Grandfather. Joe told him to stop, but the fool continued, so Joe hung the man on a coathanger and proceeded to beat the living daylights out of him. When he was finished he bum rushed the guy out of the bar and told him "If you ever talk **** about my Grandfather again I will kill you."

Hell yes, and his son is training me. Joe used to use my stepdad during his days as a drill instructor. He would have Mike field strip a rifle and then yell at the recruits as to why they can't field strip a rifle faster than a 7 year-old child. But I guess that's what happens when you have a guy that was a qualified sniper at the age of eight.
