Just thought that this might be interesting. In the Brit Army we can be disparaging about other units or not as the case may be. Here follows a list of terms used for the different Regiments, corps etc - I am sure that other armies have the same:

Royal Engineers - Field Mice, Rice Crispie Eaters, Meccano Men (Armoured Farmers for Engineer Armour)
Royal Artillery - Drop Shorts, Long Range Snipers
Infantry - Toms, Gravel Bellies, Puddle Splashers
Royal Tank Regiment - Tankies, Clanky Clanks
Catering Corps - Cabbage Mechs, Ration Assassins
Royal Military Police - Red Caps
Adjutan General Corps SPS - Special Pen Service
Roya Air Force - Crabs, Crab Air
Royal Navy - Wavy Navy, - Rum, B*m * Baccy boys
Army in General by the Navy & Royal Marines are called 'Pongoes'
Royal Corps of Transport (Obsolete) - Rickshaws, Cabbies & Taxis
Royal Logistic Corps - Really Large Corps
