The commander called the sargeant into his office and said, "I want you to have the men fall out in their fatigues and give them their duties. Oh yeah, Johnson's mother just died. When you line the men up, tell him and then send him in to see me."
So the sargeant went out and lined the men up. He said, "Johnson, Perry report for K.P. All you other men go about your duties. Oh yeah, Morris your mother died. Go see the cammander."
A little while later the commander called the sargeant back into his office and said, "That wasn't a very nice way to tell Morris his mother died. Next it happens, try to be a little nicer."

A few months later the commander called the sargeant back into his office and said, "Johnson's mother just died. Have the men fall out and tell him and then send him in to see me. And try to be nice."

So the sargeant went out and had the men fall out. He said, "Everyone with a mother take a step forward. HOLD IT JOHNSON!!!"
