You are all fogeting the "real most important" warfare invention. The machine gun, or the faster firing rifle/pistol. I think these were the best technological advances in military history

There is NO such thing as the one 'most important' innovation in warfare. For example, the Longbow, Gunpowder, the Gatling Gun, the Tank, Missile Cavalry etc, were all at the time they were introduced extremely important and changed the battlefield.

Some ineresting stuff indeed.

Well for me, it must be the artillery& Projectile weapons.

Look at it. First catapults, trobuchets, and mangonels, later, cannons like that in a pirate ship and now look at the artillery, could save a whole nation !!!

The bow, replaced by musket, which was replaced by rifle..nearly.

Thats my thinking
