I dont think it was a WW2 vehicle as I understand it the "Ferret" didnt enter service until the early 1950s.

The WW2 vehicle was the Daimler Armored Car which entered service in 1941 and was replaced by the Daimler Ferret in the 50s, they look almost identical but are regarded as two seperate vehicles.

Another small tank

Now just a little bit of information about the above tank, this is a Matilda Mk1. It was like most British Tanks of their day, heavily armoured, and under gunned and very slow. In 1940 around Arras it launched a counter attack against the Germans and gave them a bit of a scare they found the only way they could stop it was to shoot of the tracks. The British with their pop gun could not stop the Germans, but the did kill the German Commanders No 2. The German Commander was Rommel and the chap leading the British counter attack , well that was Montgomery. The one thing that this attack did do was to make the Germans stop for a few days while they asses the situation which gave the British Army time to to slip out of Dunkirk.

The Comet Tank...This was a fairly well armoured and well gunned tank that should have been ready for D Day. I's introduction was put back due to all materials required for the Invasion of Europe, but it did see action in the later days of the war

Captured Jordanian M47 tank at latrun museum. Note that there is no bow machine gun. It has been taken out and the crew downsized to 4 men instead of 5. this is to allow more ammo storage.

Here is a nice conversion by the Egyptian army- A Sherman tank carrying the oscillating turret of the French AMX-13. This gave the tank improved fire power with the long barrled 75mm main gun, as well as cutting down the crew to 4 men instead of 5(The AMX has an auto loader). The tank was captured by israeli forces in 1956 or 1967.
