How difficult would it be to switch my MOS? I've searched the internet for information relating to my question but have come up with no definitive source.

I've considered that it may be easier or harder depending on the MOS I'm currently in (5811) and the MOS I wish to switch to (0311).

I'm consulting this forum to see if a switch is at all possible and to spare my recruiter extra heartburn (even though it is his job).

Are you actually a 5811, DEPer, or boot? The likelyhood of changing your MOS depends on your circumstance.

I'm in the Delayed Entry Program now and I ship on February 15th.

Then you'll need to talk to your recruiter and have him place you in the 03 occ field. Be persistent.
