RAMADI, Iraq, Sept 18, 2006 (AFP) - A suicide bomber killed 13 volunteers at
a police recruitment centre in the restive western Iraqi city of Ramadi
Monday, a police officer said.

The blast struck at around 3:00 pm (1100 GMT) in the Al-Hurriyah police
recruitment centre in the west of the Sunni Arab insurgent stronghold, where
many young men had gathered to sign up for the police force, the officer
said.
