| Post; Strategic Air Command Offical and unoffical mottos
When I started out in the Air Force back in the early 80's, Strategic Air Command (SAC) still existed. Their official motto was:
"Peace is our Proffesion"
One wag added to the bottom of a lot of letterhead paper used for official correspondence the following un-offical tag-line:
"War Is Just Our Hobby"
"Sleep well oh forgotten cold war warriors...you Air Force still protects you"
