Yes.

Welcome to the last three months of the political forum.

I am used to some of it, reading this stuff since 2005 prepared me somewhat. But I can see a tendency of increased nonsence and elections in November.
I hoped to see actual and factual information, not some copy-paste from some left or right wing gossip page..... Sometimes it amuses me so I return here again and again and again....

No, anti-Republican rallies tend to be crazier. I think they always have been. It's the sort of crowd I guess. Definitely not the mainstream Democrats. Psycho weirdos who love to stir up sh*t. It's a bit like those guys who go to football games for the sole purpose of starting riots.

You try to tie the protesters at the RNC with the Democratic party. Most of the people who demonstrated there were against the war in Iraq, started by a Republican president. Obviously, they have no reason to demonstrate at the DNC, since they tie the war in Iraq in with the Republicans. This does not mean that they are necessarily democrats though, just that they are attacking a particular platform which the Republican party has been supporting.

Unless you can show a study or report about the political leanings of the protesters there, I dont think you can show that they were Republican, Democrat or a member of any other party.
There were signs that said "McCain votes against Vets" and "Democrats against McCain"....

And Ted, you must not have seen the protesters, there were 286 arrests at the RNC... Wanna know how many at the Democratic Convention? I got news for ya... It wasn't almost 300 people...

Just another example of the few giving the many a bad name.

Close to 300 getting arrested isn't exactly a few but the extremists don't care that their actions HURT their overall cause. They're doing it for the thrill. For a sort of a spiritual or psychological high they get from chaos and disorder. Protesting violently has become too safe I guess.

When you count into the fact that there are 72 million registered democrats it looks a little smaller.

300 soldiers were killed in Iraq today.

(not really, just illustrating that 300 is still a lot, even when you look at the total number of men and women in the military. Can you IMAGINE what the press would do with that headline?

Still doesn't prove how many were Democrats. 1 sign that says "Democrats against McCain" among 50000 protesters does not mean that they are all Democrats. Unless you have a detailed breakdown of the exact beliefs of the group, or it was a publicly sanctioned protest by the Democratic party, you still cant prove they were all Democrats.

SignS. I saw several. I can't prove they were all Democrats, but I'd wager they weren't Republicans either...
