The reflex sight is zeroed for 100 m. For everything above you use the 3X Telescope sight with marks for 200,400,600 and 800 m. The effective range is about 500m but I doubt that. 500m is a lot. On the shootingrange I think it´s possible, but elsewhere I think 500m is something for designated marksman or sniper. Spain uses the G36E ( now renamed in G36V) E=Export. I saw this on wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G36 . It was under technical data. And yes, i see the data on the G36E.....My personal favorite is the G36C varient wise.

I think it is still the M-16 which is issue in many countries around the world. And also the AK-47.
