| Forum Health Inspector | Post; Sports/MLB Quote of the DayHeard this just now on ESPN's SportsCenter. They were talking about how the Chicago White Sox starter (Mark Buehrle) gave up 7 runs to the Minnesota Twins in the bottom of the first inning -- and still won his start. The last time that happened was back in 1900 (Jack Powell won for the St. Louis Cardinals). Stuart Scott: "Oh, and a side note to that game in 1900, that was Julio Franco's second year in the bigs." John Anderson: "That ain't right." ![]() (For those of you that have absolutely no idea of that reference, Julio Franco is the oldest player in Major League Baseball right now, at something like age 48.)
