Yes plus did they just complete elections in Spain and elected a more liberal government. I may be wrong on this one but I believe I read that in a paper somewhere.

This is bad for us (US) too. Not that we needed 1,400 Spainards to win, but the terrorists will feel that their attacks can accomplish their purposes and fill them with new resolve. Now the terrorists are going to think that all of us are cowards. Bush in 04, or all of Western civilization is effectively dead. |

If I am not all wrong they fired their old government (because the terroriststrike in madrid) and in new election socialists won and now they want to get spanish soldiers out from iraq.
