I think you should really read it better. Between socialism and capitalism, I lean heavily in favor of capitalism. Unfortunately when left unchecked, it does have its issues with social mobility etc. In the beginning it's not so obvious because there's a lot of spots at the top to be had. But once the major players find their place and dominate the market, free trade capitalism is overrun by a series of monopolies. You can't even really say that South Korea's model during its development was truly capitalistic. There was no real free competition, rather it was planned by the government and contracts and orders were issued to major industries. They worked together in that sort of way. Actually in a way they were fuelled not only by their own need for wealth and power but also by a sense of patriotism. It was why major industrial companies could actually yield for one another over certain projects. It worked brilliantly at the time. If you're not sure what I'm referring to, it's mostly President Park Jung-hee and the major conglomerates we know today that managed to pull it off. America also gave Korea a huge break in allowing South Korea to tax imported goods quite unfairly while buying Korean made goods with minimal taxes. In terms of pure capitalism, that is actually a violation. That system was great in boosting the wealth of a country in a short period of time, but it didn't do much justice to a population now far wealthier and better educated than their previous generation. A move to a more capitalistic approach was required and did take place to a degree. In many of the examples which show a hybrid of capitalistic and socialistic systems working together, there has been a lot of success. I talked about the medical service in South Korea. I still have to pay for my medical bills and for those not considered crucial like checkups for people who aren't old, I have to foot the whole bill. But for almost everything else, the government subsidizes it as a part of a national insurance plan. I still have to pay enough so that I don't want to make the trip for trivial matters, but allows me to still be able to afford treatment when I need it. Unlike in countries where it's free and every swinging dick clogs the system and in countries where it's so expensive that you ponder wearing syrofoam to work. Again, the solutions don't exist as a one concept or one punch line solves all. It's a complex ballet of multiple concepts and ideas that need to be balanced to find the correct formula. And over time, with changing social dynamics, these solutions will have to be updated with the times because what worked twenty years back doesn't necessarily work today. Don’t speak about advantages of Communism If you have never lived there or not having in touch in soviet empire. I m happy not be born in this evil empire, I was born in free Georgia but my parents and my grand parens and all my forefathers lived in it for many times and they endured the crime of communism. There were no human rights, no free press, no law-courts, people were shot or prisoned without trial, without being at law with. And why? Because they want freedom, because they were telling the tru face of communism, because they were intelligent and they analyzed their country system did not work well. If you were a producer and wanted to make a film, at the first time it would be seen by communists before publication. Everywhere was censorship. There was absolutely no private property, wheares, every liberal states declare –personal property is inviolable. Private property is one most important human right. Though, in the constitution of soviet empire was declared human rights it was only plural intrigues to make foreigners going wrong. There was declared that every republic has choice, to leave soviet union but this was only written words on paper,. For example, in 1989 april my countryme(basically young students made a peacfull demonstration-they wanted to leave soviet union. Sadly, anti-Soviet demonstration was dispersed by the Soviet armyresulting in 20 deaths and hundreds of injuries. April 9 is now remembered as the Day of National Unity. Communism was utopia. It never would be live. It was forbidden to go to foreign country. Whay? You would not have seen how people were living here, how free and liberal they were. Soviet union had only one progress, it was in military, that was absolutely military union. Some hundreds million innocent people were killed by communist hangmen. ****ing **** putin who says that dissolution of soviet union was geopolitical catastrophe of 20th century. Ill hope it never will be renewed. “my heart belogs to my country, my soul belongs to God, my carrion belongs you, hangmen, make what you want”…(this wrd belongs our patriarch who was shotby communists) Long alive freedom and liberty |

For what they're doing for their own country, nothing tops the Russian Government. Yes, they're being nasty if you're politically active in the opposition, but if you're Ivan Citizen you're loving it. Or, at least it was until the economy collapsed...
