Post; Some Aussie Army photos...

F89 Minimi blank ammo link

PPE/ Riot training (Personal Protection Equipment) You do some great scenarios with this stuff.

Steyr with GLA attachment/ Ninox night vision

More riot control

NBCD (Nuclear biological Chemical Defence) Anyone who has used this equipment knows how much it sucks. We had to go for a run in it, do pushups and then walk up a hill wearing it.

Photo through night vision, there were some kangaroos in the bush.

Riot control formations

When people run and jump onto the shields, the 2nd level will lower slightly and the troops behind will pull the trouble makers over the barrier and give them a makeover.

Section attack drills, the gunners are either the hardest soldiers or have either pissed off the section commander.

Man, that riot gear looks pretty scary. I think the sight of that coming at me would be enough to make me run. How often do you get to use that stuff?

You will do it at the School of Infantry, Singleton (And when ever your platoon commander organises it back in the Battalions.) I am pretty sure the Artillery and Armoured corps do it too, not sure about non-combat corps though.
