The Iraqi Media Engagement Team found and translated the attached. IMET found a brief summary of the “Code of Ethics” on the Internet. Firas, the translator, notes translation of the full text -- if we can access it – will provide more insight. FYI – the Arabic word used for “Code” here can also mean “Pact’ or “Covenant”. Muqtada Al-Sadr distributed the Code of Ethics of National Honour to Iraqi powers and parties urging them to support the document in which he outlines the mechanism of withdrawal from Iraq: - Urge foreign troop withdrawal
- Refusal to normalize relations with Israel
- Iraqi Reconstruction
- Release of Iraqi Detainees – those who are sons of honourable resistance
- Judge according to the Holy Quran
- Distribute Iraqi resources equally
- Refusal of foreign intervention in Iraqi internal affairs
- Do not depend on Saturday and Sunday off in Iraq
- Maintain Iraq’s unity and sovereignty
- Ensure independence of Judicial and Security facilities/installations
- Restore Iraq’s assets—frozen outside the country
- Write-off Iraq’s debts
- Delay making a decision on Federalism
- Reinvigorate De-Ba’athification laws.
