Saab receives billion order
2007-12-11 16:08] Saab has received two export orders equivalent to 1 billion SEK. The orders are for Saab´s ARTHUR artillery locating radar and the BILL 2 anti-tank missile system.
"ARTHUR has become a great export success for us and this order shows how competitive the system is", says Göran Gregerström, Vice President at Saab Microwave Systems.

ARTHUR Weapon Locating Radar system is developed to locate hostile artillery. Within a few seconds after detection of rounds from mortars, guns and rockets the systems informs of both launch positions and point of impact.

"This order of BILL 2 confirms our world leading position in the area of man portable antitank weapons, says Anders Florenius, Communication Director for Saab Bofors Dynamics.

The BILL 2 overfly, top attack, anti-tank missile system combats both moving and static targets at ranges up to 2,200 metres. The missile is wire guided, immune to jamming and it attacks the target from above.
