Russia resumes nuke bomber sorties

MOSCOW, Russia (Reuters) -- Russia's strategic bombers have resumed the Soviet Union's Cold War practice of flying long-haul missions to areas patrolled by NATO and the United States, generals said on Thursday. A Russian bomber flew over a U.S. military base on the Pacific island of Guam on Wednesday and "exchanged smiles" with U.S. pilots who had scrambled to track it, said Maj. Gen. Pavel Androsov, head of long-range aviation in the Russian air force.

And yet we countinue to treat Russia as no threat.

What plane was it? an old Tu-90 perhaps? a Tu-160?

I heard about this when I was visiting 21st Space Wing in Colorado Springs' Peterson AFB.

This is going to be bad and Putin is not going to leave Kremlin when he has to!

Once again I bring this up as a reminder...

The Return of the Soviet Union

Putin is nothing but a New Age Soviet. He's learned how the Chi-Coms and his Latin American Allies stayed in power.

So is our Strategic Bomber Force. The Boeing B-52H is older the most of the pilots that fly her. Hell, some pilots fly the same aircraft that their father's flew.

The TU-95MS is still a threat to America and the Free World.

The Soviets were never really gone. The threat of communism was never really gone. Russia learned that she was just too big for her breeches . But now that she's learned and healed herself, she wants back in the game.
