Post; Romanian Officials Take Custody of 220-Pound Boy, 7

A 7-year-old Romanian boy who weighs more than 220 pounds has been taken away from his parents by government officials so that doctors can help him lose weight, Agence France-Presse reported Wednesday.
The boy was born to low-income parents and his diet consisted mostly of bread and lard.
Two weeks ago, he was admitted to the hospital after suffering respiratory and cardiovascular problems.
“We’ve taken charge of him for an unlimited period,” a spokeswoman for the child protection agency in the county of Bostoni told the AFP Wednesday. “He’ll be put on a regime of strict diet and physical exercise by doctors (in a special care center).”

Yeah... I have to agree.

Bread and Lard?!?!?!?!

That's up. I mean... they can't be that low in income to only afford bread and lard. Here in the states, bread isn't the only cheap staple food.

You've got to ask yourself what the parents were eating.
Probably a lot better stuff.
