Post; Riding A Dead Horse

If you happen to be involved in an ABCA (Australia, Britain, Canada and America) activity, be prepared for some coalition shenanigans. An example of this is provided below. This was extracted from a US presentation from Exercise Rainbow Serpent 1998.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU DISCOVER THAT YOU ARE RIDING A DEAD HORSE?

US Army Philosophy
Issue a stronger whip; change riders; appoint a tiger team with unlimited funding to revive the horse.

Australian Army Philosophy
Arrange an overseas visit to see how they ride dead horses; tell everyone that this is the way Aussies always ride dead horses; commission a study to see if contractors can ride it better.

UK Army Philosophy
Blame the dead horse's parents and home environment; pass a regulation declaring that the horse is not dead; retire the horse with a pension and a knighthood.

Canadian Army Philosophy
Declare that no horse is too dead to ride; announce that the horse is now cheaper to operate now that it is dead.

New Zealand Army Philosophy
Blame Australians; Announce the horse died of radiation poisoning and blame the Americans.

Well this has gone down like a lead balloon, I guess people don't like having fun made of their respective armies.

Unless you're Special Forces, you would skin the horse, trade the meat for information from the natives, then disquise yourself with the skin and graze close to an enemy camp and gather vital information.

Army EOD Philosophy

Load the Horse with equipment, claim the Horse merely slow out of the gate, sit back and have a beer, checking from time to time for movement.
