Looks like the cold war isn't finished yet.

I guess USA wishes to remove every so called "Socialist paradise" there is out there. They surely don't trust the chinese but, the chinese have always been sort of an enemy in the US's eyes. If you look at 20th century history, the chinese and americans never got along.

I do notwish to insult anyone here but the chinese government has done wrong things that should not be forgotten, like the massacre at tienemen square, the invasion of vietnam and the invasion of Tibet. There are a few other things i have missed.

I guess you guys won't know it but in East Asia, the Cold War never quite ended.

If you have doubts about others, isn't it good for you to work out the differences instead of dramatizing the differences and creating panics (referrs to China). You have to ask yourselves: "Do you want CHina to be a friend or foe?"

If you want it to be your enemy, I guess the anti-China movement is doing a good job with the US-Japan conglomerate (maybe SK but not sure 50-50 at this point I guess).

If you want to establish a friend and often-talked peace and stability in Asia, well, start work together and build relationship as friend, iron-out the kinks, and stop being hostile and back stabbing to get results or AHEAD.

Think of it along the lines of the US being the big guy at the gym watching a guy (China) sign up thats 5 times their size, when you know that long term you are going to be number two its easier to steal all the weights than it is to share.

If you are right, I think that it would be a big mistake of Europe. We have to remember what comunism did in Europe, and arming a potentional enemy is not very intelligent...

Who decided China was communist, socialist yes communist no and what makes you think China is going to become an enemy they have attacked fewer countries than the US has.

And they've kept those states. We've returned all to complete independance and in better straits than they were to begin with. (i.e. Germany, Japan, and well on the way for Iraq - already so in fact)
