| Tribuni Angusticlavii | Post; Released from Guantanamo?i know that one Australian is being released from guantanamo bay, but how many other countries are having thier citizens released? aparently aussie terrorism laws were introduced after he was captured, so he cannot be tried once bought back to australia. it will be interesting to see what happens when he returns (and how long it will take) and whether he will be gagged from the media in any way, because i suspect he will be a rather angry man and will have alot to say to the press. it would be interesting to find out the results of the trial, but i guess we will never know. he must have dont something wrong to be where he was, i guess it will be another issue whose truth never surfaces. opinions?

In the first place, to fulfil a solemn international obligation . . . an obligation of honor which no self-respecting man could possibly have repudiated. I say, secondly, we are fighting to vindicate the principle that small nationalities are not to be crushed in defiance of international good faith at the arbitrary will of a strong and overmastering Power.
