| Tribuni Angusticlavii |  Post; The reign of unbeatable Jack Johnson.Today, 99 years ago, Jack Johnson from Texas, one of the greatest fighters ever seen, became the first black Heavyweight Champion of the world, sparking off the the Great White Hope era, which covered many years, and was the most frustrating period in American boxing history. This meant that Jack, unbeatable for so long, bestrode the world as its ultimate sportsman for a long time until he eventually fell , under very suspicious circumstances. Great stuff, ain't it.
