| Optio | Post; Ranger operations questionA person asked me the other day to explain exactly what it is that the 75th does. I felt like a bit of a dink but i couldn't really describe. I began to think about it and i now wonder if i really know the answer to that question. The best answer i could come up with is that they are basically a SWAT team for the Army. I also believe they are misused when they are used as any type of security. They should really be the aggressors. Does anyone have an answer to this question or views on the subject?

| Centurion | Mod Edit: Not one piece of information you gave was correct. Do not respond to any specific questions involving military operations, units, recruiting etc unless you have direct knowledge. There are enough sites out there with misinformation

| Tribuni Angusticlavii | Rangers are not SWAT Teams, they are the Army's crack, airborne light infantry, and are typically used for siezing airfields other SOF missions. They are also a QRF force that can take the place of both Airborne and Air Assult units. Mod Edit: Removed quote of Sgt. Breeden's Post
