Of a total aircrew of 125,000, all volunteers, 54,378 were killed in the course of the RAF's bombing campaign. A further 8,403 were wounded and 9,838 were taken prisoner.

WOW. I had no idea the numbers were that high. You come from a very proud military heritage, sir. I salute you and all the men and women who served in the RAF.

Best wishes that your policy makers see their way through to make this memorial happen. God knows that these men and women deserve to be both remembered and honored. Anything less is not acceptable.
