| Banned ![]() | Etymology time: In case you guys don't know where the term flak jacket came from: During their bombing runs in WW2, the Allies lost a lot of planes not because critical systems were destroyed, but because the crews were incapacitated by sharpnell from flak fire. As a result, they were issued some protective armor jackets to protect them from flak fire. Hence flak jacket. Quote:
