I've been posting my CV and I've applied to a few places on joining a PMC or PSC. Do any of you guys here have any resources? Remember that whatever company I am applying to must accept foreigners. Triple Canopy does and I've submitted my information there. It's a little iffy in that it requires 4 years in the military (I have only 2) but it says it requires at least 1 year in a combat unit, which I have 2 years.
Of course, no US citizenship or green card.
I'm actually in the process of getting into an EMT/EMS Paramedic program to boost my chances in future. I've been calling around and applying but again, if any of you have any resources, it'd be really appreciated.
My specialty was NBC defense specialist/NBC reconnaissance team leader and also English-Korean translator. With obvious familiarity with rubber boat operations.
Anyways guys.. help me out.

TC is pretty tight on their requirments and thats a good thing. Ya might try Blackwater. But be careful there are some PMC's out there who are absolute crap.

Sandline will accept non-americans.

If your not wanting to stay in the ROK. And you've already applied for your Resident status here. I know several PD's that need Korean Speakers. Just a thought. Some them hire with a Green Card.

Yeah, I don't have grounds for applying for a resident status just yet. That's the problem.
An angle I'm approaching at is I'm trying to sign on to an EMT program that will help me in a few ways.
1) It will get me IN the US and it is easier to get employment once you're in rather than when you're outside.
2) It will diversify my skills and may help me get a spot with a security company.
I know a few of my skills are in demand. Korean speakers are hard to find in PDs, FDs and the military. A lot of Koreans in the services in fact, don't speak very good Korean. Either that or they don't speak very good English. But not only do I know both, but I've actually done translation work. I once even translated for the Swedish Ambassador to South Korea.
They need something like a green card or citizenship because of this "loyalty" issue... but man it's driving me nuts.
Plus I have a military background and I already know about NBC search and cleanup. Could be useful at fire departments I think.
It's not a matter of how good I am. It's a question of getting that green card.
And in regards to loyalty, I think you all know about that by now.
