| Milforum Moderator  | Kudos to the security folks at Heathrow. The news on TV is now saying that the Brits are not sure if they caught them all. I sure hope they have. Our (U.S.) dept. of Homeland Security has banned any liquids in carry on bags and that they've known about this plot for a long time and that there is no known connection to anyone in the U.S.. They also think these planned bombings were intended to coincide with the anniversary of the Sep. 11th attacks in NYC. It sounds like there is all kinds of confusion in airports as people try to stuff their carry-ons into their checked baggage. It is being assumed that these liquid chemicals would have to be hand activated (an odd assumtion). I just heard that laptops and cell (mobile) phones have also been banned. It sure sounds like they suspect that there may be more of these idiots out there.
