| Milforum's Postmaster | Don't need a quicker rate of fire if you can put them down with less rounds. |

| Tribunus Laticlavius | It depends on the type of ammunition available. If I had those blended metal bullets for the MP5, well, they'd go through armor AND shred the unlucky target. But, if I was stuck with standard JHP or FMJ, or I needed to mount a suppressor I'd take the UMP simply because I'd be able to use full-power loads with a suppressor attached and it's simply a better manstopper.

| 100% Space Shuttle Door Gunner | UMP 45 Less complicated than the MP5 in terms of it's design. Less parts means less chance of it breaking, lighter in weight, chambered in a 100% man stopper. .45 ACP. .45 FMJ will knock you on your ass. 9mm FMJ will make nice litte holes. Also .45 ACP is a more accurate round when compared to 9mm. There is a reason that the majority of professional competition shooters use the .45 ACP.
