NSDAP Revisited (?)

Some Vitriol:

Baby, its a wild world. The government of the United States proclaims the virtues of a permanent war on all non-believers. All those who oppose "democracy" are considered enemies and worthy of extirpation. Weird. The important thing relates to the usage of the word "enemy" -- the irrational use of a symbol. Who are these enemies?

Who counts as an enemy? Prior to the US entry into WWI, Washington had an agenda. The Wilson administration realized that American power could be advanced through a war against Germany...provided that Germany lost a war against France and Britain. The ideals of freedom were mobilized in this task. Even though Germans constituted the majority of US citizens, Washington torched reality and set alight to the history of their own country. Germans had not only built the American societal infrastructure, they had fought against the British for independence. Germans, the most virtuous of Americans, were nevertheless targetted by an cynical administration that ignored basic fact in pursuit of grandeur. The glorious history of American origins was was burned to the ground by a successful and artificial propaganda program that rewrote history.

The new system of thought won out. Generations can pass and bow to history, but the work of the propagandists burns through American history with a nuclear fury. German-Americans, a word that carries an evil ring according to the propagandists, still live and thrive. What they want and desire counts. They are the majority. They are the real American nobility. And, these people have remained quiet for too long.

This American majority worked their magic and saved western Germany after 1918. And 1945. Americans floated the loans that saved Germans from the deprivation of Versailles. But more happened. Food packages were sent to Germany after 1945 even though OMGUS (Office of the Military Government, United States) fought againt the idea. The American government was dominated by groups that did not represent the ethnic composition of the country. High-Ranking persons like Henry Morgenthau actually wanted to kill as many Germans as possible...millions. Why? Ask yourself this question: how can a government that killed the North American indians and subjected millions to slavery hold the Germans responsible for killing a people who had nothing to do with American history? Weird. But Washington is not the United States of America.

When Washington demands allegiance from Europe and throws bombs against the opposition, the policymakers are making one thing clear -- America first. This policy is ok. I understand it. I do not, however, understand the use of old lies that hurt a majority of Americans. Why do the noblest of Americans live with this propaganda?

Why NSDAP revisited? ... just a catchy title.

The Americans are on a crusade to shape the world as they see fit. It so happens that much of their 'vision' coincides with that of Western Europe/Japan et al. So yes, they are out to convert the 'unbelievers' to democracy and to a lesser extent christianity.

The main reason for converting autocracies/totalitarian states to democracy is to promote liberal market economics, which suit the economic policies of western governments. This is happening in most parts of the world except the Middle East and Africa. It might be pure coincidence that the majority of world conflicts currently occur in these 2 regions.

I don't want to say any more and bore you all with modern geo-economics (which I studied at university) suffice to say that America's 'enemies' are those that do not allow free market economics to flourish. More recently though, and especially with the Bush Administration, the influence of religion has had a more profound influence in American geo-politics.

Generally true. However some democracies are left leaning and that doesn't suit the US either. For example the U.S. intervened in the internal affairs of Nicaragua in an attempt to defeat of Daniel Ortega in the November presidential elections, it didn’t work. US behaviour also depends if they have anything economically useful. Large reserves of oil have recently been found in the North Cuba Basin leading to calls for the Cuban embargo to be dropped. In fact it will be interesting to see how America handles the socialist resurgence in South and Central America in general.

I am less convinced that the problem is America in general though. More a minority who are the beneficiaries of liberal market economics, mainly the rich and multinational boardroom directors assisted by the media moguls who can strongly influence voting. I have never been convinced that most elections are democratic. Everyone knows that advertising works on the minds of the average voter, so whoever has the most to spend always has an advantage. Elections are a con trick to delude the financially ignorant, which are more likely to be potential left wing voters.

It is difficult to think of a better system than democracy though, although heavy restrictions need to be placed on financing of political parties, the freedom to mislead and the structural mechanics of voting in a 3 or more party system.

You would never bore me with your knowledge of economics.
