The Norwegian Military Tattoo info

Quote:
The Norwegian Military Tattoo will be presented for the seventh time the 5th, 6th and 7th of May 2006. It was presented for the first time in 1994.

It is the biggest indoor event in Norway, presented every second year in Oslo Spektrum. In this excellent venue the Tattoo has developed into a very popular event which attracts military music enthusiasts from all over the world and it is also very much a family show. We have had and have participants from the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, USA, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand and of course several Norwegian units.

Looks like a really great show. Wish we had something like that in the States.

Both are great shows, I enjoy the Edinburgh Tattoo better than the Norwegian one due to the scene settings in Edinburgh, but regarding quality some of the finest are seen in Oslo...

Edinburgh military tattoo is compulsory view, its an incredible event

If I am asked what we are fighting for, I can reply in two sentences. In the first place, to fulfil a solemn international obligation . . . an obligation of honor which no self-respecting man could possibly have repudiated. I say, secondly, we are fighting to vindicate the principle that small nationalities are not to be crushed in defiance of international good faith at the arbitrary will of a strong and overmastering Power.
