Post; No Infantry Slots Open

I just spoke with a Marine Corps recruiter about going into the infantry. He rather abruptly said that there were no slots available for infantrymen. Now quite frankly, I can't believe it. The infantry is the back bone of the military. It is why the Marines and Army still exist. Has anyone else heard this story?

the fiscal year ends in October if you enlist then the slots should open up. They are filled because it's late in the year.

as soon as possible, sometime they do run out of slots in which case you just wait until october.

no thats the best time, because you wont go out until your 18th birthday, you will actually get first pick over the guys who enlist in october DEP is definately the way to go.
