Absolutly right. Many people relationated the bombing with the presence of spanish troops in Irak, but the thing is that the attack was prepared a long time before.

I do not know if you are following the police investigation concerning the 11-M attack, but there are many things to clarify yet:

- Some of the terrorist were very relationeted with Morocco secret services.

- The TNT used was stolen from a mine in northern Spain. The ones that stole it were Spanish(confidents of the Civil Guard) and they sold it to the terrorist.

- Some people relationeted with the terrorist were members of the PSOE.

As far as Cuba-Spain relations. If Latin America sees a resurgence in groups like Sendero Luminoso, MRTA, Tupac Amaru , FARC begins an extended strong series of attacks in Columbia, if the Zapatistas stage strong offensives in Chiapas and it is found that Fidel financed these Socialist movements , as he is apt to do. Then more Scrutiny will fall on Spain.

You are right, Zapatero Goverment is everything except responsible. I can imagine what would happen if Chavez start a conflict with Colombia.... Then the Spanish Goverment will be in a really bad possition.

Well, the Psoe are the pseudo-socialist, right now in europe there are not big differences(there are, but they are small)betewen right and left. The real Socialist is huguito.

Chavez is a socialist in name only and for right now only. He will steadily lean toward the Castro type Communism as he increases his power base. Hugito talks a good game when it comes to stirring up dissention among the working class, usually when his popularity dips. But his promises generally end up as a few window dressing "land reforms" .

He will steadily take control of all business interests in Venezuela ala Castro and eliminate the opposition ala Fidel y Che. I have no doubt that given the chance Hugito will export Marxist Doctrine along with Aid to FARC, and MRTA and any Marxist Movement in Latin America. With the tacit approval and covert assistance of his Hero Fidel. Castro still has knowledgeable and expieranced advisors available to him and Venezuela could become a conduit.
