Post; NASCAR Personal/Drivers Jumping on Thursday

Carl Edwards, Joe Nemechek, Jack Roush and members of the Nextel Cup #99 team will experience a different kind of speed as they participate in once-in-a-lifetime jumps with the U.S. Army Parachute Team, "The Golden Knights" on Thursday, September 14th. Each jumper will freefall at more than 100 m.p.h. while tethered to a member of the Golden Knights before opening their chutes and flying safely to the ground at Maxton Airport, Laurinburg, NC.. The Golden Knights, based at nearby Fort Bragg, N.C., annually perform more than 27,000 jumps before an estimated 12 million people.(PR)
