wouldn't you, as an iranian citizen, rather have your regime deposed and legitimate democracy?

i really don't understand you acting as a mouthpiece for the iranian regime, unless you are an islamic fundamentalist

I am not a religious person, I don’t have beard, I don’t go to mosque, I don’t pray and don’t do most of Islam imperatives. On the other hand I drink wine, do gamble and the other things which are forbidden in Islam. I have a job in an oil and gas company as an electrical engineer and not as a person who works in a military or political organization.
But I think most of the things I believe them are not related to Islam and are human worthiness. The democracy and human rights are just an excuse for west to use them to pressure the nations who want to be independent.

Iran is already an indpendent nation. Why whine about being downtrodden and oppressed? You already said that you're an oil worker who doesn't practice most Islamic tenets.

The fact is major powers butt heads all the time. Iran and the US have sparred for decades, and they'll probably continue to do so for years to come.

But whatever woes Iran is facing now, the bulk of them can probably be traced to some source within your own borders.

Stop looking for a scapegoat that's non-Iranian.

Oh come on if Iran was pro-American they would have nuclear power and probably weapons with the blessings of the US government but instead they choose not to be in the pocket of the USA or anyone really and they are paying for that independence with sanctions and isolation.

I recall the year New Zealand said it didn't want nuclear power or weapons on its shores and how Regan decided that was a threat to world peace, we still have military and economic sanctions over that because the last thing the USA needs is a sudden outbreak of peace or equality in the world.

This is the first I've heard of that. I always figured we left that part of the world to the Aussies. Most Americans I know don't WHAT New Zealand is, much less WHERE it is.

You would think that but it seems that the day we decided to reject nuclear weapons they soon found us on a map.

The reality is that Iran is a seen as threat not because of what it does or doesn't do but because it not in "our" sphere of influence.

Bought time some one said it.

yes although we said that we didnt want any nuclear weapons or power, we had a little known about test reactor in the University of Canterbury. and we still have at least 4 depleted uranium fuel rods. im not exactly sure when it started up and when it closed down but i know that it existed.

the iranian regime is a threat to the world because it clings to fundamentalist islam and ideally, if it could, would export it worldwide. a cleric just took out an $100,000 hit on an iranian in germany for writing something the regime didn't like.

the regime brutally suppresses its own people and is responsible for the ongoing massacre of syrians who simply want democracy

i mean, come on guys. it's not rocket science why the iranian regime is a threat and despised worldwide
