I have heard him speak of the Ireland he wished to see. When he struck the spark on the anvil, he struck the anvil in my heart. When I leave school, the only pursuit I want to engage in is the winning of the freedom of my country. Michael Collins

Based on my expeience of Irishmen when you say "passing out on thursday" do you mean literally, professionally or both?

Congrats.

whoa, well done!!! thats awesome news, congratulations mate

If I am asked what we are fighting for, I can reply in two sentences. In the first place, to fulfil a solemn international obligation . . . an obligation of honor which no self-respecting man could possibly have repudiated. I say, secondly, we are fighting to vindicate the principle that small nationalities are not to be crushed in defiance of international good faith at the arbitrary will of a strong and overmastering Power.

Congrats Dougal.
I heard on Fox News today that the IRA is backing off with aggression against England. Probably because they feel sorry for them with the nonsense against the terrorists. The Irish and Englanders out to get along better anyway, there almost the same folks.

Its kinda nothing to do with england its with the loyalist, i live in belfast and at the moment the only ones making a problem are the loyalist parties as there is a big divide in them etcetc the usual. But ya its great to see ira 'saying' there leaving down weapons but we'll just have to wait and see.
Congrats Dougal, going for an olde snakebite?! :P where in ireland u from?

lol oh ya the irish and englanders are almost the same folks, i would never repeat that in front of either an english person or an irish person again if i were u! :P
