| Immunes | zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz The hardest shooting .22 LR ammo shoots at about 155 FPE...the average .22 LR shoots about 125 FPE...so a 22 LR shooting at well above the norm is a .22 LR sort of on steroids...the M2 round out of that gun is doing 168 FPE...which is again like a .22 LR on steroids. Since they .22 LR and .17 M2 share many case dimentions (the toeh point of not haveing to change but a barrel and weight the bolt) it's more like a .22 LR on steroids. |

| Immunes | zzzzzzzzzz Again I don't need to look at the tables, because I shoot the guns and own the ammo and do the testing. If you are basing your knowledge on tables that you are picking up from the mfg, you got a LONG way to go... But if you want to look at tables on the internet, the Hornaday is a good one...reads 166 FPE but again our gun tested with the .17M2 in 17 grain pill tested out at an average of 168 or so...prolly barrel length difference. Testing out the M2 in the 20 grain pill ran out at 187 FPE...again like a .22 LR on steroids. ![]() Ohh but wait let's go to the Eley chart... http://www.gzanders.com/eley/17ball.html Ohhh but wait again...you said go to the remington page... http://www.remington.com/whatsnew/pr...am_17mach2.htm http://www.gzanders.com/eley/17ball.html Quote:
