This signifies that the Regiment has served everywhere the British Army (and Royal Marines) have served in support of their fellow soldiers and marines. The actual motto of the Royal Regiment of Artillery is on the scrolls underneath the field piece (a 9 pounder, I believe) is: Quo Fas et Gloria Ducunt Where Right And Glory Lead Us
