| Tirones | Post; MOS...too many to choose from!!! Help!HI! My husband is enlisting and has already taken the asvab and physical and is now in the process of choosing his MOS. He was told he had 187 (or so) jobs to choose from so he asked his recruiter to narrow them down to jobs that will qualify him for an enlistment bonus and the GI Bill. This narrowed it down to about 50. Of course, like expected, most of these were combat type jobs (cavalry, infantry etc.) which he is not interested in. There were a few that he was a little interested in and we found general info on goarmy.com but he would like more info. about them. 88l Watercraft Engineer 74D Chemical Operations Specialist 63B Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic 63J QM And Chem EQ Rep 63A Abrams Tank System Mntnr These are all jobs he was mildly interested in. If anyone has any info. on any of these it would be greatly appreciated. I think mainly what he is trying to decide is if any of these are worthwhile or if he should look at the big list of 187 jobs. I think 88l was his favorite so far but he is curious if he will be out at sea a lot or just fixing them on land. I know this doesnt sound very informed but umm......we both are very un-informed. ![]() Any advice yall could give about choosing MOS would be helpful! Thanks! ![]() |

| Milforum's Postmaster | stay away from 74D and 63J 63B is not a bad way to go. after he gets out of the military, he will have some good skills |
