Post; The monkey from the coconut grove.

Anybody know all the words to that one? I can remember a few lines but have forgotten the rest. Always made us laugh in Basic (back when Christ was a corporal and you qualified with bow and arrow).

Heres the Corps version for ya Charge 7.

Up jumped the Monkey
From the Coconut Grove.

He's a bad mother
You can tell by his clothes.

Wears a 3 button beanie
With a 6 button stitch.

You can tell by his cover
he's a hard sumb*tch

Lined a hundred women
up against the wall.

On a 2 dollar bet
He could do em all

Did 98 till his turned blue.

Then he backed off

And did the other two.

On his tombstone
Written in green.

Says here lies the body

Of a U.S. Marine.

Censored cuz of dey youngins.

Thanks, 03USMC! Brings back memories. We sang all of that except where you get to the tombstone part. Other than the "Yellow Bird" jody that was my training unit's favorite.

PC has hit jodies? You're kidding? Now that really is going too far. If you can't handle a little colorful language in a jody you should join the postal service and not the military service.

Up jumped the Sea Bee
From the Coconut Grove.

He's a bad mother
You can tell by his clothes.

Wears a 3 button beanie
With a 6 button stitch.

You can tell by his cover
he's a hard sumb*tch

Lined a hundred commies
up against the wall.

He Bet me 50 dollars
He could whip em all

He whipped 98 till his fists turned blue.

Then he took out his
And Slashed the other two

On his tombstone
Written in green.

Says here lies the body

Of a U.S. Navy Sea Bee.

I shoudl use something similar for my 'toon, we have some really colourful ones, but they started giving me heck for it, so I backed off. Now we just sing the Gopher song, and that tends to keep spirits up

The Gopher song

Gopher Gopher on the ground
(repeat by squad)
Shot in the head by a .22 round
(repeat ")
Gopher Gopher Super dude
( Repeat " )
Now he's in our midday food
(repeat by squad)
Sound off!
(1,2)
I cant hear you!
(3,4)
Turn around and bring on down now!
(4,3,2,1)
(4,3)
(2,1)
Hugh!
