In Army EOD, an Explosive Misfire would cost a case of Beer.
EOD Units in the Army are a bit larger now, which in my opinion is merely one of the many drawbacks caused by going to a Company instead of having Detachments.
I've been in stand alone Detachments with 6 members, 5 Techs and a non-EOD Clerk, so a case of beer used to go a lot further.

ha ha we buy cases of beer when we get promoted for whatever we got promoted to ....example...if i got my e5 i would need to buy five cases of beer
